10:30am to 11:45am
Since the introduction of claims-based authentication in SharePoint 2010 and it’s continuation in SharePoint 2013, authentication and user identity in SharePoint is a little more complex.
In my session I shall cover the basics of identity abstraction, how SharePoint 2010/2013 uses claims to uniquely identify users, and the architecture that provides authentication abstraction.
I shall also cover use of Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) and specifically how ADFS provides Single-Sign-On in your organization for use with SharePoint and other claims-aware web services.
This session is aimed at an intermediate technical audience that understands basic security concepts in SharePoint, and wants to gain high-level knowledge in using claims-based-authentication and single-sign-on with ADFS.
I am the author of SharePoint 2010 Administration, published by APress. I work for Planet Technologies, as a SharePoint Architect. bio from Twitter
