Building out a Center of Excellence for SharePoint within federal agencies requires special considerations. This topic will provide an overview of some issues federal agencies face and how SharePoint can be utilized as a part of the solution. In addition we will discuss lessons learned in building a center of excellence to support 100,000+ users. We will cover topics such as procurement, staffing, mapping to federal Software Development Lifecycles, governance, and how the future of the platform can help solve issues facing government agencies and support Gov2.0 initiatives.
