Migrating Existing Web Applications Into SharePoint 2013 Using the SharePoint 2013 App Model

A session at SharePoint Saturday DC - June 2013

Saturday 8th June, 2013

9:00am to 10:15am (EST)

Migrating existing web applications into SharePoint 2010 isn’t fun. The web part development model requires very different thinking with regard to how applications are structured, and many Microsoft .NET technologies simply can’t be applied. With the SharePoint 2013 App Model, however, it’s now possible to leverage your existing web application investments within SharePoint 2013, without significant retooling, supplemental login prompts, and other artifacts that scream lack of polish. This session is aimed at getting you started on how to create a Provider-hosted SharePoint 2013 app that utilizes an existing web application for its functionality.
