In this session you will learn about the differences between Performance, Load and Stress testing your SharePoint environment. The session will have a walk through on how to get your current environment’s workload, how to set up testing, and show how to read your farm’s performance. Portions of this topic will be taken from chapter 11 of Microsoft® SharePoint® 2013: Designing and Architecting Solutions, which he authored.

Patrick Curran, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, MCT. Patrick is currently the Director for the Federal Group and a Senior SharePoint Architect for Planet Technologies. He has been working with SharePoint since 2003 doing everything from administration, branding, and development to upgrading, and troubleshooting. Patrick works with clients, all over the world, to help integrate their organization into SharePoint. With his diverse background, he brings a lot of experience and insight into infrastructure and troubleshooting. He has designed and deployed many farms of varying complexity over the years, especially within the Federal realm where nothing is small or simple. Recently, Patrick has been spending time co-authoring Microsoft® SharePoint® 2013: Designing and Architecting Solutions for Microsoft Press.
