With the increasing interest in publishing services in libraries, library blogs, & other forms of public writing, the need for enhanced communication skills is apparent. Yet most of us never learned many grammatical fundamental, & there are few places that actually teach how to edit & proofread. This 90-minute workshop addresses this gap. The differences between editing & proofreading are briefly discussed. Techniques to increase efficiency in editing are presented. The bulk of the presentation consists of commonly found errors & explanations of how to correct them. Additional resources as takeaways are included as well. Questions & discussion are encouraged!
