Can You Hack It? Great Ideas in 24 Hours or Less

A session at SXSW Interactive 2013

Saturday 9th March, 2013

11:00am to 12:00pm (CST)

There was once a widespread fear of hackers due to their deep understanding of digital and technology, and their power to evoke chaos. In a twist of events, some of the world's most notable brands, businesses and causes are inviting hackers in and empowering them like never before. With few parameters and less than 24-hour timelines, these hackers are igniting powerful ideas with the potential to deeply impact the world and the way we do business – by putting an emphasis on making, not marketing. Here we'll present great digital ideas born and prototyped in 24-hours, where they came from, and where they are headed. Big Spaceship and GOOD will lead a discussion about their 24-hour creative hits, misses and lessons learned. They'll be put in the spotlight to prove whether or not they can hack it.
