3:30pm to 4:30pm
Austin and Central Texas are exploding with startups and startup events like Startup Week, pitch competitions and demo days, building an identity as a hub for tech entrepreneurship. What gets covered impacts what succeeds and many outlets only cover the big events or investments. What gets covered also impacts the way the nation sees what's going on in the Austin and Central Texas startup world. This panel will examine how the local media sees its role in the Austin startup ecosystem, and what the startup world wishes the media did differently.
