Visual Bites: Culinary & the Web

A session at SXSW Interactive 2013

Tuesday 12th March, 2013

12:30pm to 1:30pm (CST)

Food-related filmmaking on the web is exploding and never has the phrase, "You eat first with your eyes" been more relevant. As people are more and more conscious about what they are putting into their bodies - restaurants, chefs and the food industry are answering the call by creating original web content to not only inform but entertain and bring current and potential consumers behind-the scenes and into the culinary fold.

This ever-expanding food culture is also bringing non-culinary brands into the culinary world, as small businesses to big brands like Lexus are seeing the benefits of joining this revolution. Join the discussion on how the food culture of the web is thriving, what makes it successful and how it is continuously attracting thousands of viewers who are hungry for more.
