In Black Box penetration testing the hacker is given at best a website and a company name. From there an Ethical Hacker is expected to scour the Internet and find out every bit of data available on their client. Reconnaissance requires all the skills an Ethical Hacker has, there is no magic tool available.
Ethical Hacker Ben Miller shares his methodology and toolkit for find the elusive client data needed in order to push forward with a successful penetration test. This topic will discuss available tools used to quickly and accurately gather available information and discuss the methodology for finding and inferring information that automated tools do not uncover.
