With its reliance on computer modelling for weather and climate predictions, effective data storage is vital to the operation of the Met Office. This presentation will cover the infrastructure in use, management of their data as it continues to grow in size; backup facilities and policy; disaster recovery plans and Met Office strategies to cope with future changes in data and services.
