Design lead, Poetica
James Weiner is an accidental interaction designer: originally a print designer, he ended up designing for the web, where considering user needs and interactions in addition to aesthetics has become essential.
His career spans book publishing, the music industry, tech, and government. He was a founding team member of the UK’s Government Digital Service; leading the front end design of GOV.UK and establishing its well-respected Design Principles.
James now leads design at Poetica (founded by Blaine Cook of Twitter fame), a place for people to write together on the web. He also publishes Ferment, an illustrated literary magazine, in his spare time.
