With LTE Networks, It’s no Longer About Speed. It’s About Life-Transforming Mobile Experiences

A session at VentureBeat Mobile Summit 2013

  • Kris Rinne

Monday 1st April, 2013

4:15pm to 4:40pm (PST)

Kris Rinne, SVP of AT&T, will argue that “speed” is no longer a bottleneck in to the mobile economy, now that the modern LTE network has been rolled out. Rather, attention is turning to other services being provided, including things like voice over LTE, and equipping car vendors such as General Motors to allow millions of their cars to become moving hotspots. Together with small cell technology, that will bolster the network in dense or other difficult areas, the more powerful network is now paving the way for the build out of radical new types of life-changing products, from Google Glass to Smart Watches from Apple, Samsung and others.
