You've heard of Git, the powerful source code management tool designed for use in the distributed world of the Internet, but maybe you haven't had the chance to get your hands on it much. Or perhaps you use it, but you only know a few simple patterns whose underlying details are not yet clear. If so, then this session is for you. We'll discover how to create Git repositories, add and edit code, use branches, merges, and tags, and even connect with GitHub to share code with others. You'll learn the basics, and learn the underlying Git concepts that support them. Come to this session for the introduction to Git you've been looking for!
