Leadership: What Does it Take to Climb there?

A session at Women In Business

  • Sylvie Demers

Thursday 18th April, 2013

1:00pm to 2:00pm

Sylvie has worked in the financial industry for the last 28 years, and has seen the make-up of the executive of Canadian financial institutions change – albeit slowly. In today's world all businesses are fighting for talent, and the best are the best, no matter their cultural background, age or gender. Sylvie will share her reflections of her own leadership journey, and the unique differentiators she brought to the table – that you can bring as well. She will discuss the myths and truths of "female" leadership, communicating your value proposition and determining your competitive edge when climbing the corporate ladder.

Today, I intend to share with you, a little bit of my experience and how I developed my own leadership profile that would allow me to climb the corporate ladder.
