Women increasingly play a prominent role in private and public organizations, but because of their socialization, they often do not project the leadership presence that is needed. Judith Humphrey will explore the communications challenges women face in moving beyond traditional behaviours and she will show how to develop a strong, confident speaking style by taking the stage. Drawing upon thousands of coaching sessions and her recently published book, Speaking as a Leader: How to Lead Every Time You Speak, Ms. Humphrey will explain exactly how to take the stage every time you speak—whether you are giving a speech, making a presentation, talking at a meeting or speaking extemporaneously in the elevator. You will come away with a clear, straightforward method for taking the stage mentally, verbally, vocally, and physically. The result will be a much stronger, more confident speaking style that has the ability to influence others. In sum, this presentation will show women how to come out of the wings and to speak so others listen, believe and follow them.
