Despite more artists becoming heavily dependent on grants and public funding, technology now enables creative professionals to reach their audiences and collaborators directly, with little to no cost. This talk investigates the opportunities available to artists in this fast-changing landscape, the meaning of success, the migration of funding, the devaluation of the arts and what you can do to balance promotion, creation, risk and money.
