Talk 07 – The Arts: an Agent for Social Change

A session at Zealous X Talks

Sunday 1st December, 2013

1:30pm to 2:30pm (GMT)

Throughout our history the arts have provided a narrative to challenge our society’s norms, and to expand our ability to comprehend the changing world around us.

Art provides a much needed escape and form of expression though turbulent times, and it also helps bridge differences as well as unite communities. This Zealous X talk intends to shed light on how art can positively influence and help communities in the UK and abroad.

Speakers: Jane Earl of Rich Mix, Ade Solanke (screenwriter and playwright), Avaes Mohammad (playwright and poet).
