A Phantom presentation

A session at A Phantom presentation & Laika - a documentation toolkit written in Scala

  • Flavian Alexandru

Wednesday 11th June, 2014

6:30pm to 7:15pm (GMT)

Phantom is all about one liners and masking away all complexity without stripping away flexibility and features. It's a massive improvement to the formatted string approach, proving just how powerful Scala can be at making our lives easy, even for big problems(creating a scalable DB service).

Here is what we will cover:
- 3 minute brief introduction on how and when to use Cassandra(time series, linear scalability, high I/O, multi data-center)
- 15 minutes phantom presentation, what it is, how it works and how easy it is to solve all common Cassandra use cases in phantom.
- 3 - 5 minute for Q&A and future plans for phantom
