2:00pm to 2:45pm
In 1996, we didn’t have JIRA, Confluence, Hipchat, or Stash so when my team needed to collaborate we went into the big conference room on floor three of our office. These days, my team works in six countries. Not only are we not all in the same conference room, but we’re distributed so far around the globe that there is no time of day when we can all talk at the same time. I’m Dan Chuparkoff from Atlassian - makers of JIRA, and I’ve been pushing remote collaboration to its limits for nearly a decade and a half. Join me for some extreme-collaboration secrets! Your team can be even more productive scattered in 20 different places than they ever were crowded together around a conference room table.
We’ll talk about maximizing the 24 hour clock, synchronized dashboard sharing, time-delayed chat, automated task assignment, collaborative ideation, remote developer collaboration, and the asynchronous stand-up meeting. Just to prove a point, I’ll be doing this talk remotely connected from Greenland. Joking - I’ll be where you are. Unless you’re in Greenland.
