iOS Flavored Objective-C

This talk is directed at developers who are new to Objective-C and/or iOS development. Attendee should expect to gain an introduction to the Objective-C language and how it is applied in iOS development.

I will be prepared with code examples and will walk through implementing some common iOS solutions.

  • Delegation Pattern
  • Objective-C Protocols
  • Objective-C Categories
  • Blocks

iOS Topics:

  • Using the UITableViewController
  • Using UINavigationController
  • HTTP Requests (AFNetworking)

If time allows:

  • Grand Central Dispatch (GCD)
  • Message Swizzling
