[CANCELLED] Better Meetings By Design

From project kick-offs to postmortems, great meeting experiences are filled with empathy, trust, and cross-disciplinary collaboration that leads to new ideas.

25 August 2014 from 9am to 4pm

What is an effective meeting? From project kick-offs to postmortems, great meeting experiences are filled with empathy, trust, and cross-disciplinary collaboration that leads to new ideas. The most effective meetings are the ones where we allow exploration and risk, but ultimately hone in on the smartest stuff. So how do you get your team, department, or organization headed in this direction?

Proper facilitation, visual thinking, and real-time capture are all critical in order to bring harmony to the natural tangents that happen in our brains during meetings. Tactics like these help teams process the problems they’re tackling early in the process, and enable them to act upon that understanding. These tactics are fundamental building blocks of a good design process, and as a result, bring design thinking into the traditional meeting. Well designed meetings lead to better outcomes.
