Friday 30th May, 2014
8:00pm to 11:00pm
Launch night of Friday night comedy at new venue in Bourne.
Funhouse Comedy Club, which has previously run successful nights in Bourne at The Late Bar and The Angel Hotel, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at the Red Hall, Bourne.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as 'among the best anywhere in the world.'
Headlining the launch is the very lively and genial Gerry K. Having performed stand-up all over the world he still found time to fit in some TV appearances and you may recognise his face from TV's 'The Bill' and 'FHM Comedy Heroes'. His humorous stories and factual tales are told with a 'twinkle in the eyes' and leave his audiences crying with laughter.
Opening will be Ivan Brackenbury, a bungling hospital DJ. The character was created by Tom Binns who earlier in his career was a breakfast radio DJ on London's XFM. The hospital DJ combines inapt records, with hilarious cues, misjudged dedications and patient requests, to leave the audience in 'fits' of laughter. A stay in hospital with him as the DJ would certainly be a unique experience.
Also appearing will be the unusual and hilarious Alan Antelope.
Compere for the night will be the warm and hospitable Ben Murray.
In advance: £10
