Inquiry In Action

A session at Bring IT, Together 2014

Wednesday 5th November, 2014

1:00pm to 3:30pm (EST)

Our new Social Studies Curriculum Document really pushes the use of inquiry in the classroom, but inquiry is new for many of us. During this half-day session you'll get a chance to see how inquiry can look in classrooms with and without the use of rotary. We'll show examples of how rotary teachers can support inquiry learning. We'll also look at different online tools that can be used throughout the inquiry process (from provocations to research to sharing of ideas).

Then it will be time to plan an inquiry unit of your own. Brainstorm ideas with other participants, start preparing provocations, compile resources for student learning, and go back to school tomorrow with a unit you can use!
