By Design: Engaging Girls In Tech

A session at Bring IT, Together 2014

Thursday 6th November, 2014

1:00pm to 1:50pm (EST)

The wage gap for women persists, while thousands of highly-paid programming jobs go unfilled each year. A possible solution is to engage girls in technology as early and as often as possible, and to encourage this career path. In this session we will briefly review media, trends and policies and then have a round table discussion. What can we do at our schools, in our communities and across the province to promote change?
