Every element in a web page is rectangular; and the content that flows inside and around an element also flows in rectangular areas. A couple of years ago, creating print-like magazine layouts on the web was just a dream. Today, with the introduction of CSS Shapes, we are able to start thinking outside the box (pun intended) when we design layouts for the web. In this talk Sara will introduce you to CSS Shapes, the cutting-edge CSS layout feature, and show you how you can get started creating your own non-rectangular layouts using just a few lines of code. By the end of this talk, you will be a CSS Shapes expert! And when browser support for Shapes is widened, you will already be one step ahead and ready to take advantage of what this exciting technology has to offer.
