Perfecting the Art of Business Analysis by utilizing SDLC processes and methodologies is essential to a corporation's ability. Suit up and join us for a unique experience in learning how to perfect the process of gathering business requirements, utilizing tools and networking to achieve the ultimate goal - Maximizing profitability for Your Organization!
ACTIVITY: The event participants will be divided into teams. Each team will choose a methodology (Agile, Waterfall), tools and additional clues to gather business requirements for a new product release on an existing platform for XYZ client. The first team to successfully complete the requirements of the game will win a prize.
All will leave with new knowledge and new skills experience. The teamwork will contribute to new perspectives and new BA relationships and the friendly competition will be great fun for all.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Karen Weidman is Product Manager of Insurance Services and Compliance Officer Design for Infosys McCamish Systems. Currently, Karen is responsible for the strategic business direction and market branding for the insurance platform, and coordinates strategic planning process for the platform.
Karen has more than three decades of operational and management experience in the life insurance, annuity and securities business. She has served as Vice President of Operations for Jackson National and ING Golden America and been responsible for contact centers, licensing and commissions, broker dealer licensing, new business, post issue services, broker dealer relations, tax, accounting and claims departments. She has experience with large global models and training for US products.
Karen was President of Independent Products Consulting, Inc, a consulting firm specializing in stabilizing departments, identifying service enhancements that reduce costs and enhance personalized service offerings for Pacific Life and ING. She is a graduate of Regis University, in Denver Colorado and she has her FLMI, specializing in Pensions, is a CLU and a Registered FINRA Principal.
