There’s no doubt that our technological society favors extroverts. From blogging to social media, from mobile phones to meetups, there’s simply nowhere left for us introverts to hide from the constant demands from the rest of the world to — in a word — SHARE.
But what exactly *is* introversion? It’s commonly misunderstood as shyness or a misanthropic desire to be left alone. Many extroverts mistakenly assume that introverts hate them. And that’s simply not true (well, most of the time). And many introverts think that there’s something wrong with themselves, something broken that they can’t seem to fix. And that’s not true, either.
In this Ignite Oakland talk, we’ll learn what introversion is, what it isn’t, and specific tactics to hack ourselves and our interactions with others in order to survive — and thrive! — in this extroverted world.
