8:30am to 4:30pm
This highly participatory workshop takes participants though the creation of a live website using Lean Startup and Lean UX, Scrum and mob programming techniques. Participants will participate in all aspects of the site's creation, including content generation, by collaborating and generating the website in real-time. People will experience what it is like to contribute on a highly collaborative, iterative, cross functional team and will gain insights around the content generation process this kind of environment needs. The workshop will be run by a professional scrum "master" and a skilled developer will also be present to work with the team in real-time. The participants will carry all the remaining roles on the team themselves, providing an excellent opportunity to gain insight about the process and empathy for their colleagues in different functional areas in a typical enterprise. Part of the exercise for the day will be exploring ways to generate hypotheses and how to test and measure them, and where content fits into that process. Some participants may even leave the workshop to collect feedback from other conference participants as part of the exercise of collecting customer feedback and validation, then incorporate that feedback into their site. By the end of the day, the group will publish the site for the other conference participants to see.
