You might have heard of IBM's cognitive computing genius, Watson? This human-seeming computer played and won Jeopardy against champion human opponents. Did you also know that in 15 seconds, IBM Watson can learn from 100 million product manuals? Since Watson's debut on Jeopardy, IBM has been grooming it for even more astounding feats, such as medical diagnosis, improving financial decisions, and creating a new level of engaging customer experience by "reading the manual" and interacting with customers in a support-oriented fashion.
Cool, interesting, but why do we care? Join Andrea to learn how Watson combines natural language processing, machine learning, and hypothesis generation and evaluation to give direct, confidence-based responses, and how she is working to bring this functionality to create an entirely new level of content experience.
