The Foundations of Git and GitHub

A session at JavaOne 2014

Wednesday 1st October, 2014

10:00am to 5:00pm (PST)

Writing great software is a collaborative effort, whether we’re talking about open source, or commercial code. The GitHub platform hosts the majority of the world’s Java open source, and in this hands-on lab, you'll become proficient in the use of both it and its core VCS, Git. These are increasingly important skills for both business and community-focused modern programming.
