Compressus: Maximizing Content Reuse to Create Customized Documentation with Flare

A session at MadWorld 2014 Worldwide Learning Conference

Tuesday 15th April, 2014

2:35pm to 3:30pm (PST)

Compressus, Inc., a leader in digital medical solutions software, uses Flare to produce up-to-date, easy-to-understand user documentation and online Help for its MEDxConnect software suite. The MEDxConnect suite includes a core system, as well as a number of peripheral applications, all of which are constantly updated. With a user-base that includes physicians, med techs, and system administrators, Compressus must produce customized documentation for a variety of end-uses, all with different needs.

Flare allows the documentation team to re-use and re-purpose content, as well as publish to multiple formats simultaneously, saving the team significant production time and development costs.

Documentation Manager Pam Coca will demonstrate their unique document flow, re-use of chapters, creation of QR codes and snippets, take a peek into the code, show-off some of Flare’s lesser-known tricks, and publish a batch file for delivery.
