Events and Messaging in JavaScript

A session at Modern Web Conference

Wednesday 6th August, 2014

2:00pm to 2:50pm

This talk will serve as an introduction to event and messaging patterns in modern web sites and applications. Starting with a review of DOM Event handling and some common difficulties, this talk will advance through to discussing observable objects and wrap up with an introduction to the message bus. Following this logical progression you will become familiar with common eventing and messaging patterns in JavaScript and you will even be exposed to actual implementations of those patterns in popular JS frameworks.
