There are many different approaches to building capacity for open data and open development practice, ranging from one-off training events and massive online courses, through to longer term training programmes, mentorships, incubators and labs. Using a hands-on interactive game this session will generate discussion around capacity building approaches.
Based on the model of the social media game, which encourages small group work and dialogue around how to fit appropriate tools with specific challenges, the game will be based around:
This session would be a chance to both learn about and share experiences of capacity building through an interactive game, as well as to play-test the game, and improve it for future use.
