Would you like to take part in Python/Django code sprints, but don't feel you have all the skills required? Would you like to contribute to the projects you use, but aren't sure how to get started?
If so, this workshop's for you. By the end, you'll be ready to join in the sprints and make your first contribution to your favourite Python project.
The workshop is aimed at the first-time committer, and very little experience is required.
At different times Daniele Procida has been a university lecturer, IT consultant and high-school teacher.
Over the last few years he has worked as a Django developer, first at Cardiff University and now at Divio of Zürich.
He is an advocate of open source software, and contends that the success of projects like Python and Django lie as much in the values they espouse and the communities that sustain them as in any technical advantages they enjoy.
