  • Andrey Stakhievich

Friday 28th February, 2014

2:30pm to 3:20pm (KMT)

Selenium Webdriver is quite popular among developers and QA specialists for its rich and flexible API and incredible variety of language bindings. Besides, its JSON Wire Protocol is going to become a W3C standard for vendors.

Once Appium appeared, one could use Webdriver API not only for pure web automation, but to automate native or hybrid mobile apps on IOS and Android. In this session I’m going to talk about:

  • appium and its position among other testing tools;
  • particular experience of test automation for hybrid mobile app, based on PhoneGap and Sencha Touch;
  • cross-platform tests (IOS and Android);
  • parallel test execution with Appium and Selenium Grid;
  • some other interesting stuff like possible integration with other tools.
