Workplace culture and the Executive Officer – Leveraging diversity to drive team building

As the chief liaison between senior management and staff,
and between divisions, internal and external stakeholders, the
Executive Officer occupies a unique position to set the tone
of workplace culture. Managing different personality types,
conflict and building rapport requires emotional intelligence
and an understanding that can often cross cultural
boundaries. Learning to effectively leverage team diversity
not only develops an Executive Officer’s leadership skills,
but can also directly impact the success of a department.
Beata shares her own experiences promoting and driving
