12:00pm to 12:45pm (EST)

Presenters: Rob Elis @Rasta00 & Christine Armstrong

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently launched an update to Usability.gov, which serves as a leading resource for user experience (UX) best practices. This Drupal 7 site boasts a new mobile-first responsive design, a focus on information sharing, and expanded content.

This case study will touch on decisions surrounding:
• Mobile-first design approach;
• Simplification and organization of content;
• Drupal best practices;
• Usability Testing;
• Responsive Design; and
• 508 Compliance

Highlighting what worked, what didn't and lessons learned, attendees will gain an insight into the major elements that crafted the new site.
