Love the idea of 20% time/genius hour but struggle to create a process of creation/communication that increases student success? Welcome TED-Ed Clubs. TedTalks are recognized globally for ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, forums of sharing provocative ideas and inspiring new mindsets. TED has designed an education stream to support students to create their own TEDTalk. The TED-Ed Club resources encourage idea creation, exploration and sharing through sequenced discussions and activities. TED-Ed Club gives students purpose and authentic audiences for sharing their knowledge/passion about a topic of their choice. Working in GAFE, students build their talks both at school and home and refine their ideas with feedback from their peers/teacher. Students are focused on the process of creating, collaborating, editing and improving their talks rather than on an end-product creation, although this too may occur.
Come explore Ted-Ed Club student talks and how to begin your own Ted-Ed Club.
