Empowering Girls in STEM

A session at BIT15 - Bring IT,Together 2015

Friday 6th November, 2015

1:00pm to 1:50pm (EST)

Girls in STEM is such a hot-topic in ed tech circles and we read about all of the benefits of engaging more girls in the STEM subjects. We know it's important, but how do we do it? Come learn from a drama and technology teacher at an all-girls school about their strategy for increasing engagement in STEM. You will learn about their humble beginnings and their current wide-spread success that is catching like wildfire at their school. Participants will gather ideas about how you can successfully "market" STEM to more girls through curriculum and co-curricular activities.
