The content lifecycle management technologies and techniques that have been developed and harnessed over recent years are now being applied to training content, which is having a drastic effect on the way training information is authored, delivered and consumed by ‘users’ as opposed to those whom we may have labeled in the past as ‘trainees’. Some of these concepts include content reuse, mobility, consumerisation, user context, and multi-device support, and they are now delivering huge benefits as the next-generation of training with regards to the cost, efficiency, and successful training outcomes for both content authors and content consumers.
