Make bold choices by learning from the arts

A session at #dareconf USA

Tuesday 19th May, 2015

11:35am to 12:05pm (EST)

To create a safe space for collaboration you need more than facilitation techniques: you also need to resist the prevailing culture. Artists choose to do this all the time. What can we learn from them?

Jessica runs Art in Praxis which uses practices from art and culture to address complex problems in organizations. In this interview you’ll learn about the choice she made to frame her work as art: why she did it, what she gave up, and what happened next. Learn how to:

  • create productive and creative work spaces by bringing your authentic self to work
  • make decisions using your values and vision as a compass
  • use artists’ tricks to make bold choices even when you’re afraid
