In today’s evolving digital landscape, we are bombarded with information about technology, devices, services, processes and practices. Key terms jump out at us on a daily basis demanding our comprehension -HTML5, apps, platforms, web vs native, video bit rates, OS upgrades, responsive programming, social media, tracking, tagging, debugging, deploying. Furthermore -as we all know, a digital project includes a variety of stakeholders whose participation contribute directly to the project’s success and each of these stakeholders’ understanding of tech terms may vary.
What happens if the client holds a different definition of a key term from our account person? What if one client’s brand team refers to a specific part of the deployment process differently from another brand team -but it’s the exact same process? These are questions that can directly impact a project’s success.
These are all questions that can be addressed with a very fundamental but often overlooked activity -a meaningful conversation. In this talk, I will discuss the ShiftLeft philosophy how and whenconversation fits into this paradigm and what we can do to help bridge the gap to ensure a project's success.
