Cool libraries for modern C++

A session at DevWeek 2015

Wednesday 25th March, 2015

9:30am to 11:00am (GMT)

The C++ standard library dates back to the 1990s, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t new and exciting frameworks to use in your C++ application.

In this session, Sasha will look at some brand-new and some existing C++ libraries that can speed up C++ cross-platform development rapidly. Some of the libraries we might cover include: Casablanca (C++ REST SDK), Cinder (creative coding), Boost (general-purpose), Google Test (unit testing), SOCI (modern database access) and many others. There’s something for everyone, and if you’ve been writing C++ for decades you’ll find the cross-platform ecosystem friendlier than ever.
