What comes to mind when your organization thinks about diversity in the workplace? Discussions surrounding workplace diversity have long pointed to the benefits of collaborating with individuals of different background and experiences, and the ways in which we can all better connect and communicate with those around us. While many organizations have put an emphasis on workplace diversity, there is a piece to the puzzle that is frequently missing: generational diversity! You may have heard increasing buzz in recent years about generational differences in the workforce – now it’s time to become an expert. Our all-new “Generational Differences in the Nonprofit Sector” workshop, hosted by Careers In Nonprofits and presented by Chicago Senior Manager of Client Services & Recruiting, Shannon Deamer, is the place to get started.
This workshop provides a thorough examination of the various generations currently in the workforce, as well as the traits of the incoming generation, including how each group actively contributes specifically to today’s nonprofit work environment. Attendees will receive an incredible breakdown of common workplace behaviors, attitudes, and responses based on generational identification, and the tangible steps needed to improve communication amongst all generational groups within an organization. Not only will you leave with increased knowledge of each generational group, but you will leave with the knowledge of how to best leverage generational diversity for success!
