We spend a lot of time talking about enabling work within agile teams, but in this talk we will examine the interfaces *between* those teams, and look at how those interfaces must evolve as the parent organisation grows and evolves. We'll dive into the details of both some communication and technical interfaces, and look at what keeps them working effectively. You will hear about some common patterns of evolution as a company grows, and how to stay ahead of the curve in keeping your teams motivated and effective.
Mike Perrin has been a developer for almost 20 years in many different industries, from investment banking to local government, and from brewers to internet startups. What is particularly interesting to him is not the obvious differences between these industries but the commonalities in how all organisations struggle with IT projects, especially along the interface between culture and technology. While not generally keen on looking backwards, he believes that sometimes only by taking the time to examine the past do we truly learn from our successes and failures.
