Educators and parents have long been interested in understanding and identifying the factors that forecast children’s success in school and in life. Dr. Kimberly Schonert-Reichl, developmental psychologist, researcher and educator, will discuss the emerged scientific findings in recent years in the areas of social and emotional learning (SEL), empathy, compassion, and kindness and will present innovative strategies that can be used to fostered these skills in children and youth and support their positive growth and development.
