This presentation will reveal recent discoveries in personality science – namely the unpacking of character into multiple dimensions. The role of character strengths in activating intrinsic motivation, enhancing well-being, and contributing to positive school culture will be described. Audience members will learn the nature of character, how to assess it, and how character strengths can not only optimize the teaching and learning experiences but also equip teachers and students with insights that will help them construct fulfilling lives beyond the school experience.
