Linked Data-Driven Discovery: Applications and APIs from a User-Centered Perspective

A session at LITA Forum

Friday 13th November, 2015

2:15pm to 3:00pm (CST)

Library Linked Data has changed the way we present information to our users. Now we can provide topical responses that help people learn, even as they navigate our collections, to add context to their experience. Come hear from three librarians using library Linked Data. You’ll hear how one discovery service makes use of Linked Data, see the experimental “DAPI Diem” prototype and understand how to engage more users through Linked Data—with no additional work. You’ll learn what library tools use Linked Data today and how, imagine what’s possible for the future, and be inspired to ignite your users’ research.
