More than Money: Recruiting and Retaining Library IT Staff

A session at LITA Forum

Saturday 14th November, 2015

11:30am to 12:15pm (CST)

n this session, we will present preliminary results of a survey of library IT staff on the key factors that influence recruitment and retention. We will examine both traditional, tangible forms of compensation like salary and benefits as well as other benefits such as flexible work schedules, telecommuting, work location, professional development, and organizational culture. We hope to discover which factors have the strongest effects on recruitment and retention and whether those effects are consistent across settings and demographic groups.
