1:15pm to 2:00pm
Libraries are increasingly asked to support active learning for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives. Find out how our library is collecting STEM tools like Raspberry Pi, Makey Makey, Dash and Dot, Code Monkey Island (and more!) and integrating them into hands-on technology instruction for kindergarten through college-level classrooms and after-school clubs. It’s not just about the tools, we will also discuss how to leverage national trends like the “Hour of Code” and how to forge partnerships to test curriculum and increase STEM engagement for maximum student learning and creativity.
